It's been such a long time since I logged in, I needed to re-register!

But just wanted to come and pay my tributes, I was actually thinking about this site recently wondering if it was still going, but looks like it's still going strong. I bet it was quite interesting here when Richie left!!

I don't think it can be underplayed the impact this site that Peter created had on a large number of people - being a place to come and discuss all things Bon Jovi at a time I was a huge fan, but also inspiring me and many others to go touring and meeting so many great people both online and in person.

Travelling across Europe on my own, seeing 8 or so shows in different countries and meeting different people in each would never have happened without this site and without Peter who I met at the Amsterdam show (2003, so 21 years ago) - I wonder if I have an old photo somewhere.

In summary - Rest in Peace Peter, you have left behind a legacy to be proud of.

Also it's good to see some familiar names posting - hope you are all well!

All the best,

Mike

I can only echo the words of everyone else.

I have learnt so much about the band I love from this message board for over 20 years and was lucky to make friends with some of you too.

The play by plays were exciting following the sets from half way around the world and those closer to home.

I hope the board can continue. What a legacy. RIP Peter

RIP and huge thanks for creating this community. I've met some of the best people in my life here.

It's our task now to keep this place alive.

Default RIP Peter Oberc - Owner of Dry County and Jovitalk

Wow, that’s very sad news. I only registered in 2010, and I’ve had some much fun reading/posting on this forum for the last 14 years … I’ve never interacted with him, but I can only thank him for creating this fantastic community and express my condolences to those who knew him. Thank you so much and RIP. Sad, sad news

My eternal gratitude to Oberc for providing decades of sanctuary to those of us who could not become or remain members of Bon Jovi's official online community; my most sincere condolences to all of us for our loss; and my hopes that Bon Jovi can still provide DryCounty.com with a reason for being.

I hope it's not disrespectful to ask the following question now: How is the continued existence of this forum guaranteed? Do any of us have all the rights to continue operating it? What about the costs? Can we contribute in any way, or something similar? This forum contains such a wealth of knowledge, it would be a shame to lose it.

I agree, it would be nice if we could continue somehow. Sometimes the forum is offline and then I think "ok this is it".
